Liquid: Sydney’s Ocean Pools
Whenever I am away from home what I miss most is the coastal walk from Bondi to Bronte in Sydney. It refreshes and inspires me. The ocean always looks different depending on the tide, the time of day and the weather. I am incredibly thankful to be living in such a beautiful part of the world.
Today I took a walk along the Bondi to Bronte Coastal walk in Sydney. First stop Bondi Icebergs – I think it’s one of the nicest places to swim laps in the world. And the sauna has the best view of any sauna that I know – bar none.
Moving right along I walked past Tamarama – a.k.a Glamorama because a lot of ‘beautiful’ people tend to gather there and bare their suntanned bodies to the world.
Finally I came to Bronte Beach, another favourite place. You can see why.
This is a response to the Weekly Photo Challenge: Thankful and Ailsa’s Weekly Travel Theme: Liquid.
I didn’t know there were so many sea-side beaches in this area!
Very refreshing!
Thanks. You could dive right in couldn’t you?
Diving is dangerous during Polish cold fall but the power of imagination is great. I have been swimming in Bronte Ocean Pool 🙂
What amazing places to swim! I’m dead envious
I know – I’m a lucky duck.
I haven’t been to Bondi for years and am so pleased the pools look exactly the same as I remember.
Funnily enough I included a sea pool in my ‘liquid’ entry too. The fact in was taken in Feb (Northern Hemisphere) accounts for the lack of patrons.
Loved your pics. Looks like your pool would be great on a hot Summer day!
Love this hike too – the views are just as spectacular as you have shown!! I could use a dip in one of those pools about now!
It does look inviting and hot today again too. We will be having a swim about 5pm this afternoon. Delicious!
I called in to Icebergs on Friday afternoon to have a glass of wine, sitting on the terrace overlooking the pool! Fantastic photos, SueAnn.
Sounds lovely and so close! Be sure and email me if you get any free time.
Lovely liquid pics, Sueann. 🙂
Thanks!
Fab photos Sueann! You are indeed very lucky 🙂
Thanks for your comment!
This is such a beautiful part of the world, SueAnn! And, you can take a walk along the water…
I know! This afternoon I was walking the dog and saw dolphins and a whale with its calf. Such a treat.
Nothing beats the soothing pleasure of water… 😉
I agree. It literally washes away the day.
Feels like this is like a must visit on my list! 🙂
Always good to have a wish list going – much more likely to happen then I think!
absolutely… Will put a wish list pretty soon in the days to come! 🙂
thanks to visit me… Nice blog also…. Keep going… 🙂
Thanks. You’re welcome.
🙂

Thank you and thanks for following my blog.
my pleasure 🙂
Thanks for visiting my blog today. This walk is gorgeous isn’t it. We did it last year in June. It wasn’t sunny but the scenery was stunning. I wrote about it on my blog too.
What is the link? I’d like to have a look. Thx

Thanks for letting me camp out in your blog for a little while today. I had a great time and tried to leave my campsite as good as when I arrived. I’ll be back!
