This is my response to the Weekly Photo Challange: Eerie. It’s taken at Tamarama, Sydney and is part of Sculpture by the Sea. The park I like to walk the dog is taken over by sculptures and it certainly makes for an interesting dog walk. If find the people are almost as interesting as the sculptures.

Colour – Bondi street art

Bondi street art

All along the promenade at Bondi Beach has been made available to local artists to illustrate what would otherwise be a boring concrete wall.20130403-155857.jpg

An evening walk on the coast near Bondi Beach.

This evening my husband and I took the dog for a walk along the coast. We do this walk most evenings at about 5pm and we take about an hour.

A relieved reunion. Mojo hates the water and waits anxiously on the shore until Tony emerges.  Iphone edited with Snapseed

Indigenous whale carving, near Bondi. Hundreds of people pass by this carving every day and don’t notice it. I think it’s very special to have a reminder of local indigenous people and their connection with the sea.  If you look carefully you can see the whale calf inside the larger whale. Iphone and edited to add lots of contrast to show up the lines of the carving with Snapseed.

Liquid: Sydney’s Ocean Pools

Whenever I am away from home what I miss most is the coastal walk from Bondi to Bronte in Sydney. It refreshes and inspires me. The ocean always looks different depending on the tide, the time of day and the weather. I am incredibly thankful to be living in such a beautiful part of the world.

Today I took a walk along the Bondi to Bronte Coastal walk in Sydney. First stop Bondi Icebergs – I think it’s one of the nicest places to swim laps in the world. And the sauna has the best view of any sauna that I know – bar none.

Tamarama Beach, Sydney

Moving right along I walked past Tamarama – a.k.a Glamorama because a lot of ‘beautiful’ people tend to gather there and bare their suntanned bodies to the world.

Bronte Ocean Pool, Sydney

Finally I came to Bronte Beach, another favourite place. You can see why.
