Delhi Thali
Gosh, what I wouldn’t give for an authentic Delhi thali right now! I just ate an egg and lettuce sandwich for lunch but I didn’t think it was worthy of a photo so I have dug up an old photo of something a little bit more interesting.
This is my response to the Weekly Photo Challenge – Lunchtime Ā
Yum!!!! And the lime sodas look divine too…I’m salivating š
PS Is yours and your daughter’s lovely tops from Fabindia?
Oh you are good! Yep, love that shop!
LOL you can really see how I love to shop š Fabindia is just lovely…especially their sheets!
It all looks gorgeous including your little princess
Oh you’re sweet. She took on a lot of new experiences that year – Including thalis!
Beautiful shots! Was you daughter OK with Indian food? That’s a lot of rice for a Northern Thali!
I actually thought she might starve the first few weeks we were there. She would detect the smallest hint of chilli in any food & declare it inedible. We worked around it & luckily she was OK with fried rice & in Hyderabad there was lots of Chinese available. Once we had a flat we cooked Western food for the kids & my husband & I happily ate Indian takeaway every night.
You are right, egg and lettuce doesn’t sound as nice as what you have there! Although, I might be starving with your daughter at first. Well, probably not. I do love to eat, and rice just won’t let you starve! š
That’s right. There’s always rice!
Too funny … this meal does look really tasty!!!
Oh it was!
Yummy! and you little one is so cute!
Thanks! It’s lunchtime now & I know what I’d like to be eating!
