The Mystical Mountain
Machhapuchhre (माछापुछ्रे)or “Fish Tail” is a 6993 metre (22,942 foot) mountain in the Annapurna range of the Himalaya. It is revered by the local population as particularly sacred to the god Shiva and climbing it is forbidden. This photo was taken from Ghorepani in Nepal.
