A roadtrip in an Ambassador
When we were last in India we hired a car and a driver from Delhi to take us to Kalpa, a small town in the spectacular Kinnaur Valley. It took many dusty days of travel along a road I have since seen featured on The World’s Most Dangerous Roads TV show, but it was well worth it. The town has the most amazing views of the Kinnaur Kailash, a 6500m mountain revered by both Buddhists and Hindus.

Beautiful pictures. Oh yes the road, it is daunting, but really beautiful. Thanks for sharing the pics
Thanks for your comment. The road is worth the final destination – as long as you arrive in one piece!
I don’t think I could drive along that road
You need to be looking anywhere except down!
Stunning!
Thanks! It is.
Spectacular! I admire your trusty driver…
He was a great mix of not being overly cautious & not taking silly risks.
